Blending success
Cameron’s Jiskoot Quality Systems business unit is currently in the process of shipping a fuel oil blender which is to be installed in a fishing vessel port/terminal in Namibia, Africa.
 
This system was designed to blend In-line Heavy Fuel Oil with Gas Oil to produce 10m3/hr of 70cSt Fuel Oil that can be pumped directly to the waiting ships at the Jetty. As well as blending of the fuel oils, the system will provide a representative MARPOL compliant sample as the blend progresses. A representative sample of the incoming feedstocks will also be provided. The skid mounted system will be supplied with an intergrated control system and a performance guarantee giving +/- 1% viscosity of the target recipe, therefore delivering significant savings and competitive advantage by reducing the blended product costs by $6 – 10 per tonne.
 
The Jiskoot JetMix and Viscosity trim system blends the two feed stocks to guarantee the final blended fuel is fully homogenous and meets the viscosity requirements. The JetMix system guarantees the accuracy and repeatability of the on-line viscosity measurement system in the blender that is used to ensure the blended fuel does not exceed the maximum design viscosity at the reference temperature.
