MassPhase wet gas sampling system

Molecular sieves for measuring liquid content in wet gas

The Jiskoot MassPhase wet gas sampling system is designed to extract a representative sample of wet gas that can be used to compensate errors in DP measurement using calculations like the Murdock and Chisholm equations. It also provides a liquid sample for analysis and can be used for high accuracy, periodic well testing in wet gas and very high GVF multiphase flow.  The MassPhase wet gas sampling system provides extremely accurate measurements in wet gas environments.

The gas and liquid mass flow ratios are measured and liquid and gas samples are retrieved for quantity and composition analysis.  The system comprises a take-off probe and a bypass loop in an enclosure containing a mass flow meter, molecular sieves and sample collection receivers.

The take-off probe is mounted in the line at a suitable position and has multiple inlet points to profile the pipeline.  Wet gas flows through the molecular sieve, designed to scrub and trap all liquids from the gas stream. The liquid is retained and the mass flow of dry gas is measured by the flowmeter. A sample of dry gas is also taken for analysis.
